Elementalism and the Esoteric Doctrine of Elements are Not the Same Thing

Hippy and cave man play with rocks in a creek by the fire as wind blows.

In my post entitled Understanding the Four Elements I covered what these four dynamic energies are and are not. It's worth a read if you're new to this or if you believe the four elements are rocks/dirt, H²O, heat-releasing glowing gases, and unseen gases we breathe.

Spoiler Alert: They're not. Not at all. The four elements are not the materials they are named after.

NOT Rocks and Gases!

Venerating dirt and the creek and channeling magic from them is part of elementalism. This may be all the rave among the stone age cultures on the Australian Outback or deep within the Amazon Basin but it is not occultism.

No matter how many little, green witchies on Amazon tell you elemental "earth" means the ground you stand on and the "air" element is the stuff you breathe that is not the esoteric doctrine of elemental magic. It's a relatively recent development based on misunderstanding.

I'm not trying to be rude. I am simply being truthful and seeking to give my readers an affirmative education on occult and esoteric principles.

Energetic Qualities and Fundamental Subtle Energy - CHECK!

What the four elements are is a system of energetic qualities that can describe, relate to, and interact with (to change or preserve) any other energy or phenomenon. They are also fundamental subtle energies that express the essence of their qualities.

The Elemental Codex page showcases the hierarchical and qualitative natures I refer to.
